REPAIRING & RIGGING BOATS FOR OVER 20 YEARS

Rapid Repair started years ago in a marina on the St. Croix River in Minnesota, where Darin and his wife Tania kept their Carver boat.

 

Darin was a home builder at the time, but loved tinkering with boats. When spending time at their MN marina, Darin was always involved in other people's boat projects. Once they started spending more time in the Florida Keys (as Snow Birds), word got out in the community that Darin was great with boats and he would spend his non-boating days helping out his fellow mariners. In 2013, Darin and Tania made the decision to move permanently to the Florida Keys and to continue pursuing this business, now known as Rapid Repair. Starting out with just his truck and trailer, Darin gained a wonderful clientele and was officially the known marine mechanic of Rapid Repair.

        After getting his ABYC certification, Hunter, along with his wife Kaitlyn and their daughter Harbor, moved to the Florida Keys in February of 2021. They welcomed their son Harvey in 2022. After moving, Hunter immediately started working with his dad Darin. Hunter found a passion for the technical and electrical side of marine repair, and was excited to grow that talent with the expansion and opening of their permanent Boat Yard location on Ramrod Key in June of 2021. Hunter also spent a lot of his time on parts inventory management, which led to streamlining our parts look-up and locating process, allowing us to have a wide variety of parts available on-hand and on location.

Once Rapid Repair gained it's permanent location, business really started to pick up for this Father & Son Duo. Kaitlyn joined the family business in 2023 and is now the Office Administrator, as well as Inventory Manager.
